New Horizon Chiropractic offers a full range of chiropractic treatments including the following:
CHIROPRACTIC MANIPULATION
Gentle hand manipulation is applied while you are face down or face up on the table. When face down, your pelvis and legs are moving into flexion as the lower table moves down and back up automatically. This allows the vertebra to move with very little force. The technique names are Thompson Drop, and Leander along with Diversified and Activator or Impulse. The Leander table and technique are especially effective on low back and/or leg pain from Sciatica and bulging discs.
CHIROPRACTIC DECOMPRESSION
This table applies a gentle, incremental traction which decompresses the lower spine. At the same time the lower part of the table flexes which distracts the vertebrae a little more. All the time the doctor is putting measured pressure on the targeted vertebra. This is the most individualized decompression table in use today.
CHIROPRACTIC PHYSIOTHERAPIES
Intersegmental Traction (Roller Table). Lie on your back and let rollers move up both sides of your spine gently and predictably massaging your muscles and moving your vertebrae. Best used after your chiropractic adjustment to retain the mobility the adjustment just created in your spine. Is often used with heat on the neck to relax tight muscles prior to the adjustment. |
Electrical Muscle Stimulation. Electrodes are applied to the affected area. Electrical current is gradually increased to a comfortable level for ten to twelve minutes. Electrical current at a specific level has been found to stimulate the healing process. This allows us to get therapy deep into tissues such as the shoulder or knee joints or pelvic or spinal joints. |

Ultra Sound. This popular treatment brings soothing warmth and circulation into an area of pain and spasm to stimulate the healing process. |
Cold Laser Used to speed healing in areas not suited for ultra sound such as bony areas such as hands and feet or joints like knees, elbows and ankles. It is used to treat Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Tennis Elbow, Tendonitis, Sprained ankles, etc. |
Meridian Therapy using acupuncture, acupressure, electrical stimulation of acupuncture points. |
